This article aimed to study National Library Websites (NLW) using webometric methods. The in-links and co-links to national library websites were analyzed to study: firstly, the visibility of these National libraries on the web. Secondly, the collaboration on national and international level amongst the studied national libraries websites. This study found that according to the in-link count of 38 national library websites, 3 were extremely popular and we can call them the most visible national library websites as they come below: 1. United States of America (http://www.loc.gov); 2. Australia (http://www.nla.gov.au); 3. United Kingdom (http://www.bl.uk). The results of the study also showed that, there were 5 clusters (2 cross continental and 3 international) in the studied national library websites. On the other hand, the multidimensional scaling map showed 4 major collaboration clusters: 2 cross national (both European) and 2 international (European, Asian, American, Australian). African national library websites were not seen in these clusters. It means that, African national libraries have a little collaboration with others through their websites. However, due to the problems of search engines which are used for data collection in webometric studies, this method needs to be used with cautio

The present study was conducted to determine the rate of usage of SAVE marketing mix components in public libraries of Tehran. The research method is descriptive survey. The statistical population of the study consisted of 33 libraries of public libraries affiliated with the public libraries of Tehran city which have been studied by census method. In order to analyze the data, SPSS software descriptive statistics (frequency distribution, relative percentage, mean and standard deviation) and inferential (t singlesample) was used. The findings of the study showed that the general libraries of Tehran were weak in terms of all components of the SAVE marketing mix. Also, it was revealed that the public libraries of Tehran city are not in the same position in terms of the application of SAVE marketing mix components, so that the components of solution and training with averages less than optimal (3) equal to (2.93 and 2.85) respectively had the least rate of usage, and the components of access and value with averages greater than the optimal (3) equal to (3.65 and 3.18), respectively, had the most rate of usage

The importance of training in organizations cannot be overlooked. This has motivated organizational decision-makers to look for new ways for achieving proper training in order to reach their organizational goals. Nowadays, one of new approaches to realize the training and gaining an effective output is gamification. Many factors can influence the use of this new approach in organizational training. Therefore, the present research seeks to identify and model the factors affecting on success and failure of gamification in organizational training. Accordingly, qualitative research method is used in this research. Also, three processes is conducted to collect data needed to answer the research question. In the first step, semi-structured interview is used to identify the factors affecting on gamification of organizational training. In the second step, the Interactive Management (IM) method is used to identify and extract the most important factors among the identified factors of the previous step. Finally, Interpretive Structural Modelling (ISM) software was used to model the factors and determine the causal relationships among them. The results demonstrate seven important factors which are respectively staff demographic characteristics, availability of infrastructure and facilities, staff information literacy, staff attitudes toward gamification, management attitudes towards gamification, gradual inclusion of gamification in the training process, and rich (learning) content. At the end, the research findings have been discussed

Citation Analysis of the Articles Published in Journal of Studies in Library and Information Science

Background and aim: The journals are the valid method for communication between authors and subject specialists. The aim of this study was to investigate the citations of the articles published in Journal of Studies in Library and Information Science (JSLIS). Material and methods: This survey study investigated the citations of the articles published in JSLIS during 2009-2015 (issues 1-15). Data were analyzed using Excel and descriptive statistics (frequency, percent and mean). Findings: Among 1963 citations of 110 published articles, most citations belonged to journals (52.77%), citation mean for each article (17.84±7.94) and authors’ self-citation (5.09%). The most cited authors of Persian and English are Farideh Osareh and Garfield, respectively. The most cited journals of Persian and English are "Library and Information Science" and "Scientometrics", respectively. The most cited Persian and English books are "From Bibliometrics to Webometrics" and "Introduction to Informetrics", respectively. The half-life mean for Persian resources is 9 years and 6 months while for English ones is 11 years and 2 months. Conclusion: Although published articles in JSLIS have had an acceptable condition from the view point of authorship pattern, considering limited usage of up-to-date resources and due to the high half-life ones, it seems that the affiliated organization needs to take measures for improving the authors' pattern of information–seeking behavior to develop the further research in the field of Library and Information Science
